  1. Is their away to migrate an automation rule for add to campaign as a SF Flow using the Campaign ID as a hidden field in the form in order to add lead/contact to campaign?

    1. Hi Brian,

I think this will depend on what the trigger for the automation rule is. If this is something that Flow Builder can handle then yes this should be possible.

  2. Well-written and very easy to understand. This would be perfect for someone who is about to tackle their first migration from Workflow Rules or Process Builder to Flow.

If you’ve done a few migrations in the past, this might not add much to your tool belt. (I’d worked on migrations for 4 orgs before finding this course and wished I’d seen the WFR –> Flow and PB –> Flow templates before I’d started).

  3. Great course! Amazing content and love the bite sized learning. Thank you so much for the free content.

Tiny thing for the next courses (Really hope there are some would love to see some cert courses in this format) please could you autocomplete sections when all sub-modules are done… you could use a record triggered flow 🙂

  4. Did my admin cert recently, flow was a crazy jargon for me, now this course just made flow concept so interesting and easy to understand. Well done Andrew

  5. Great content, will plan to share this with some of my customers. In reality though please never ever hardcode IDs like shown in one of the earlier videos!

  6. Thank you Andrew and to Salesforce Ben for this helpful course. Preparing now for the migration and this information will definitely aid in the process.

  7. Thank you , Andrew. This is a very good compilation of the things to consider.

I do want to point out some things I noticed along the way:
This resource is no longer available https://trailhead.salesforce.com/content/learn/modules/flow-builder (in “Summary”). Perhaps this Trail is a valid replacement: https://trailhead.salesforce.com/content/learn/trails/build-flows-with-flow-builder

I also noticed that the example here https://courses.salesforceben.com/courses/migrate-to-salesforce-flow-course/lessons/map-out-your-existing-automations/topic/rebuild-and-enhance/ about the OwnerID not being mappable could become confusing to some learners as well is not best practice – at least to more recent Salesforce trainings – it should be kept as dynamic as possible, so rather using Queues and assigning it to them in this case perhaps as it otherwise creates need for higher admin maintenance should such a user be deactivated or the responsibility change.
The info may be too much for this first intro to the topic and the example you are using makes sense, but it may also be worth pointing it out and directing to resources where more can be learned about not hard-coding IDs, for example
    https://admin.salesforce.com/blog/2021/why-you-should-avoid-hard-coding-and-three-alternative-solutions and
    https://admin.salesforce.com/blog/2021/the-ultimate-guide-to-flow-best-practices-and-standards
(sorry, if you have linked these already – I did not see/click on all of the resources)

Bottom line: big thank you for this great compilation. Keep it up!!

    1. Hi Stephen,

Thank you so much for the feedback on this course. Regarding the Owner ID not being dynamic, I have updated the content for this now so it is done without hardcoding the IDs.

I have also updated the Trailhead link in the summary section, frustratingly there is no way for us to be notified if a Salesforce link has been removed so it’s quite difficult to keep these up to date.

  8. Thanks Andrew just finished this course and find it very helpful to understand what strategy should be made before migrating process builder to flows.
