An Apex Trigger is Apex code that runs whenever a record is inserted, updated, deleted, or undeleted from a specific Database Object in the Salesforce database. No matter where a record is saved from (such as the browser, API, or mobile) the Apex Trigger will run. As a result, an Apex Trigger is ideally suited for automation required when data changes in the database.
