Flow Templates
When you’re starting off with Salesforce Flow and want a bit of a pre-existing foundation to build your automations from, you may want to use one of Salesforce’s Flow Templates. In this lesson you’ll learn where to access the Flow Templates and how to make them your own.
Where to Access Flow Templates
You can select a Flow Template from the ‘New Flow’ screen wizard. Instead of selecting one of the five different Flow Types (Screen, Record-Triggered, etc), navigate to the ‘All + Templates’ tab at the top-left of the popup modal.
From here you’ll be able to access any of the pre existing Flow Templates that Salesforce has built, or any that you’ve acquired through the AppExchange. To add Flow Templates to the AppExchange, simply click the ‘Get Templates’ button from within a Flow Template section and you’ll be routed to the AppExchange in a new tab.
Alternatively, head over to the AppExchange directly and then head to ‘Solutions by Type’ > ‘Flow Solutions’.
Summary
In this lesson you learnt where to find the built-in Flow Templates that Salesforce offers, as well as any others you’ve downloaded from the AppExchange. You also learnt how to find Flow Templates on the AppExchange.
Flow Templates are great for Admins who are starting out with Flow Builder, and also for Admins who build the same type of Flows frequently and want a uniform starting point.
